The Best Hikes Around to Get Your Nature Fix

Sometimes seeing brick buildings, brick sidewalks and brick fountains all day everyday can make any overly-stressed Elon student crazy. It is crucial for both your mental and physical health to get off campus, recharge, reset and spend some quality time outside.

Luckily, you don’t need to make a weekend trip to Asheville to get some quality outdoor adventure time. Although we aren’t in the mountains, we do have access to a number of beautiful walks, nature reserves and lakes all around us that are perfect for an after-last-Friday-class trip. Grab a couple of friends, a water bottle and some sneakers while the weather is still nice and try out some place new.

We’ve rounded up a list of some of the best trails and outdoor spaces to explore, all within driving distance of campus. Start off your weekend on a mindful note.
