Dua Lipa is Establishing the “New Rules” of Street Style

The stunning two-time Grammy award-winning singer Dua Lipa has surely caught the public’s eye within the past two years. Lipa’s music consists of relatable jams that we can belt out around our rooms with our best friends too. It seems as if every move she makes leaves everyone in awe of her effortlessly cool persona. We have to admit, she is definitely our new style crush. This babe is moving up on the charts and on the best-dressed list. If you don’t follow Dua Lipa now, you better start getting to know her because she is about to shake up celebrity street style as we know it. 

Last February, Lipa was named the first global ambassador for Pepe Jeans London and curated a rugged line of clothes in collaboration with them. With items like this chainmail set (below) and a raw hem denim mini skirt, this uncontrollable idol is altering pop culture as we know it.

 Authentically herself, Lipa uses her bold confidence to dominate every new trend. It seems that there is no look Lipa cannot master. Let’s be real here, not many people can pull off pairing cow print booties and Adidas track pants and still end up oozing an achingly chill aura. She actually made cowgirl athleisure a thing.

This femme legend continues to mix different types of prints and clashing hues. We also think the pop of vibrant color she wears is a brilliant tribute to ‘80s style. She pairs her vast array of neon items with plaids and stripes, which some would say is breaking the unspoken rules of fashion. Her taste in fashion is the true love of our sartorial lives.

Ironically, we are obsessed with her style. Fierce and athletic, this girl somehow perfectly masters the balance of femininity. On the street, pairing brands such as Nike and Louboutin makes her one of our favorite fashion babes of the year. And onstage, she is most notably adorned in matching sets that accentuate her extremely fit body. Seriously though, Dua, please send us your workout routine.

We tried to copy her intense style over the weekend and we have to admit, it was an absolute blast. If we learned one thing, it’s that you can never take enough fashion risks.
