Fake It Till You Make It: Temporary Tattoos

Tattoos. They're the most powerful way to permanently express yourself on your own body. But they can be intimidating, expensive, and painful. I’ve always liked the look of tattoos but never the commitment that comes along with them. Changing your hair, makeup, and nails are all traditional ways of giving yourself a makeover. So why not add some body art?

This week I did a bit of an experiment on myself and decided to partner up with a company called Momentary Ink. Nope, this definitely isn’t the first time I’ve experimented in the name of beauty...who could forget my blue and pink hair? (Check out my previous articles!

Momentary Ink specializes in semi permanent and temporary tattoos. I chose a couple of styles and even custom designed my own tattoo as well. By using a temporary tattoo like the ones I wore, you can add some edge to your look without the commitment, pain, or damage to your bank account. I chose to place one on my ribcage to give a subtle but fun detail to my crop top look. The application process was very simple and just required a wet paper towel and time to dry. After that, I was good to go! My tattoo looked super realistic and was definitely an easy way to turn heads.

So if you’re wanting to change up your style, why not try a semi-permanent tattoo? The simple process will give you a revamped style in minutes. I predict faux tattoos will become more and more popular as the beauty industry continues to take a turn for the dramatic. And with halloween coming up, there are tons of styles to transform yourself on the night of the 31st.
