5 Essentials for a Fall Weekend at the Beach
Everyone seems to think that when summer ends, beach trips end too. But laying on the beach in October when the air is a bit crisp and the sun is still shining is unbeatable. Beach towns are quieter in the fall, so a weekend getaway just exploring the town, walking on the beach and reading in a coffee shop is a nice way to relax and avoid the crowds. If you have any plans for a fall beach trip, here are some fashion must-haves for your weekend getaway!
Cozy Sweatpants
Whether you are hanging out in the Airbnb at night or are on the beach when it gets chilly and need an extra layer, some warm sweatpants will definitely come in handy. You can bring your favorite oversized high school sweats, a more stylish pair of joggers or even a matching set—whatever you already have in your closet.
Oversized Jean Jacket
It can definitely get colder at night, especially when you are by the water. An oversized jean jacket is perfect to bring along. It's so versatile and goes easily with leggings, joggers or even over a maxi dress for a dinner out.
Neutral Sweater
Obviously, we love to pull out our sweaters when fall kicks in, and you’ll definitely want to pack them for the beach as well. Light, neutral colors are very beachy and perfect for day or night. You can even throw on an oversized sweater over a bathing suit if you are thinking about a walk on the beach.
Wide Leg Jeans
Wide leg jeans are flowy and will allow you to achieve a beachy look without sacrificing warmth. You can pair them with a sweater or long sleeve depending on the weather, and instantly you have a perfect night-out look for dinner by the water.
Fun Fall Hat
After a day walking through town or relaxing on the beach our hair sometimes gets a little crazy. If you don’t want to have to worry about spending too much time styling your hair, bring along a hat to throw on for the afternoon/evening. A camel color hat like this screams fall!
