The 2020 Elon Food Guide

Going out to eat has always been one of my favorite things to do, and going to college opened my dining world up to so many more options. While Elon may be small, there are so many amazing restaurants nearby for everyone to enjoy. From Mexican to Italian to Asian to American to brunch, there really is something for everyone, and the options don’t end at this list. However, these were the most talked about places when asking dozens of Elon students what their favorites were.

FOR WHEN YOU’RE CRAVING BRUNCH

Angelina’s European Cafe

Not even 10 minutes away from campus, Angelina’s is fairly new to the Elon area. The pastel aesthetic alone is enough to make anyone want to go for pictures, but their breakfast doesn’t disappoint either.

Press Coffee + Crepes

If you go to Elon, eating at Press is literally a right of passage. Located in Graham, they have to-die-for sweet and savory crepes along with great murals throughout the downtown area. They also offer outside seating!

Print Works is the perfect place for a celebration. Located in Greensboro, this restaurant is the it place when you and your friends are looking to treat yourselves. Whether you’re looking to check out its brunch, lunch, or dinner menu, you won’t be disappointed. While a little pricey, their food and decor are both to die for.

Prego’s

Craving some amazing pasta? Head straight to Preggo’s. So close to Elon’s campus, Prego’s has some of the best penne alla vodka I’ve ever eaten. Another perk? Their super attentive wait staff, and the fact that you can pick it up if you’re not in the mood to go out.

Mulino

While Mulino’s location isn’t necessarily convenient, its outside dining and amazing Italian food are both worth the drive. You’ll feel extra luxurious if you manage to snag a table next to its water centerpiece.

Green Valley Grill

Feeling a little fancy? The Green Valley Grill is the place for you. While on the pricier side, its European and Mediterranean dishes are worth it. Plus, just looking at the dessert menu will make anyone’s mouth water, which makes it even better for singing happy birthday.

HONORABLE MENTION

Hops Burger Bar

When asking students where they’ve had their best burger in the Elon area, a majority answered with Hops. Senior Catie Naughton described them as “wicked good” and has made the trip out to Greensboro multiple times just for one of their burgers!
