Zara Just Dropped Its First Lingerie Collection─Cue Jaw Drop.

In case you mindlessly clicked on this article and neglected to read the title, let alone hear about it from every fashion publication ever, Zara just debuted its first lingerie collection. And we are here for it.

Perhaps your relationship with the trend-setting brand amounts to the occasional donning of a long trench, oversized blazer or distressed pair of denim-something. Come on, how could you resist? And if that’s the case, strap in─this collection, fittingly named ‘The Female Gaze,’ takes the modern elegante’s nightwear, let alone the everyday outfit-enthusiast’s wardrobe, to a whole new level.

This female-adoring collection not only encapsulates, but glorifies the effortless beauty, tenacious edge and undeniable elegance of feminine dress. And in the age of WFH and business-on-the-top, no-pants-on-the-bottom get-ups that we have all mastered *swimmingly*, it only seems fitting that brands are delivering on the latest fashion─which forbids underwire bras (remember those?) and tight-fitted anything.

Whether you’re on the hunt for new loungewear or something black and laced, this 158-piece line is one worth checking out. And, if you’re going to invest in a new nightwear apparel, let it be this. From pajama sets to robes to all-things-underwear, this line truly does it all.

The collection comprises sheer tulle and fancily-netted, finely-crafted bralettes and panties. But while satin bra and panty sets might steal the show, the selection of cozy, traditional silk button downs and wide leg pants are nothing to overlook. Oh, and neither are the long shirt dresses, silky robes, buttoned wool rompers and knitwear sets that make WFH attire socially acceptable. Not to mention, dresses that will make going to bed seem like a black tie affair, including long laced slips and short mulberry-silk minis.

Also offered, aside from cozy sleepwear and intimate sets, are countless pieces you never knew your nightwear selection needed. That is, until now. From body-shaping jumpsuits and leggings to accessories, like polished satin scarves and (of course) knitted socks that will make you want to cuddle up in a blanket ASAP, you’re sure to find your slumbertime uniform here.

The neutral-heavy color palette boasts refined creams, intimate blacks, delicate pinks and clean whites─with the occasional muted blue and Mojave beige cameo. So, if you’re into matching your outfits before hitting the sack, you’re in luck. But, while blissfully modest in color, the collection is emblazoned by a rainbow of texture. From fine ribbing and elevated pleats to dainty lace and revealing sheer, The Female Gaze checks all of our lingerie-pajama hybrid boxes. Knowing Zara, though, we didn’t expect anything less.

Despite the differentiation in material, details appear to remain agreeable throughout. Pieces falling into the strictly lingerie category all seem to boast similar accents of intricately sewn lace and delicately unfinished hems, whereas the more traditional, everyday undergarments offer ruched everything─from drawstring sockets to bra wings to eye masks. BTW─is a lingerie/sleepwear collection even complete without an eye mask? Definitely not.

Whatever your bedtime (or, let’s be real, stay-at-home pandemic wardrobe) needs are─be them glamorous or cozy garb─The Female Gaze is sure to please. Well, at least it’s pleased the people who’ve already secured the majority of the merchandise. Basically what we’re saying is, visit the site and see for yourself.
