Star Wars: The Mandalorian
After many stories about Darth Vader, Rey Skywalker, and Han Solo, a new plot emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set only five years after the events in The Return of the Jedi (1983). The show follows a lonely bounty hunter, the Mandalorian, just after the fall of the Empire-- but before the emergence of the First Order. He is hired to retrieve what is referred to as “the child” but realizes he needs to reunite Baby Yoda with his people so he begins his journey right away.
Disney’s first Live Action “Star Wars, The Mandalorian” does an excellent job at creating nostalgia for the Original and Sequel Trilogies. It brought Star Wars back to life and has so much potential to be an outstanding series. The fast pace, the characters and the jokes are nostalgic for “Star Wars” fanatics. The series is a different take on the franchise, but follows suit with the core concepts. Pedro Pascal, who plays the Mandalorian, has mastered his character. Throughout the series, viewers never see his face thanks to his head gear, so he finds impressive ways of showing emotion without using his face. This is a show that caters to everyone, Star Wars fan or not.
All eight episodes of the first season are available to stream on Disney+. Episode 1 of Season 2 just premiered this past Friday, October 30th and a new episode will be released every Friday till the end of this season. We would recommend this thrilling and nostalgic show to anyone (especially you Star Wars lovers)!
