Valentine’s Day Outfits that Aren’t Cheesy

Valentine’s Day—every year, depending on your status of single, in a relationship, or somewhere in between, most everyone feels compelled to look their best. Here are five looks for every occasion to inspire you this Valentine’s Day.

Look 1: Date night

Valentine’s Day is an opportunity to reinvent your typical date night look and add an accent to celebrate the holiday. Flare pants are trending this season, so maybe for Valentine’s Day reinvent the typical denim flare by wearing leather. Want to add something fun? Pair it with a festive red bodysuit and some black heels or booties to dress up the outfit. To spice things up, try a new makeup look—a red lip, a pinker blush, or champagne eye shadow.

Look 2: Brunch with the girls

For brunch, a leather skirt and a sweater is a perfect way to look put together this Valentine’s Day. Dressing the outfit down with a sneaker gives more of a casual touch, but if you want to dress it up, a white boot or wedge would also work. Hair accessories are everywhere lately, so if you’re feeling adventurous, add a headband, clips, or a hair scarf for extra flare.

Look 3: Class

I styled two looks for class this valentine’s day, depending on the effort level you want to give and when your Friday classes are. For an afternoon class, try a light wash denim jean with a blush or light pink bodysuit. Add a light jacket (blush or white) and sneaker for this effortless daytime look.

If you’re going to be rolling out of bed for your 8 a.m. on Valentine’s Day this year, try joggers with a red or pink accent. Without having to think too much before class, you’ll still look festive while also staying comfortable.

Look 4: Girls night out

All black is usually a go-to when going out at night, whether it's a silky slip dress, a body-con skirt, or a classic jean. However, it’s a holiday so why not make things interesting? Try a red bottom with a classic black bootie. Pair it with some chunky hoops and a leather jacket that’ll get you good to go.
