Coronacation Celebration
Are you “bored in the house, in the house bored?” Try taking a few minutes away from your social media feeds to try these five quarantine activities:
Puzzles
Puzzles are the most underrated form of entertainment in the game. Having everything moved online, staring at a screen has become a sad reality. Staring at a computer for too long can cause headaches or just straight boredom. But, puzzles can help break that up. They let you rest the eyes but still work the brain and will give you an overwhelming feeling of accomplishment when that last piece is placed.
2. Board/Card Games
The average household tends to have a decent amount of board games laying around. While some of them might have been go-to activities when we were younger, many have moved farther and farther back in our closets as we’ve gotten older. Instead of binge-watching an entire Netflix series this weekend, bring back those old board games and have some fun with your quaran-team.
3. Foster an animal
Animals are proven to bring joy to people and help with loneliness. We can all get lonely at times but more so now than ever before. It helps to have a furry friend to keep you company during these crazy times. They will provide you with kisses and love that no game or puzzle could provide you .
4. Read a good book
The average college student doesn't usually make the time to sit down and fully immerse themselves in a good book. Take this time to read some books you may have always been wanting to read. Put the phone and computer down and pick up a hardcover book instead.
5. Listen to music
Spend this unplanned vacation listening to new music. Go outside of your comfort zone in terms of music and maybe you will end up finding a new genre you enjoy. There is nothing better than sitting back, closing your eyes and vibing to music.
