Trader Joe's Haul

A little history of Trader Joe’s: It started out as a small chain of convenience stores in the 1950s. By the 1960s, Trader Joe’s created their name after the founder, Joe Coulombe, and opened up their first store in California. They soon started creating private labels of their own unique products. This reduced costs, which led to customers saving lots of money when shopping for high quality products. Our favorite pre-made meals, drinks and snacks, cost less than half the price of other retailers. Trader Joe’s even takes note if an item isn’t popular and replaces it with something new. The workers are constantly restocking the shelves since their unique items sell out so fast.

Trader Joe’s has become our go-to place for grocery shopping because of their quality of food and amazing deals. Trader Joe’s (“TJ’s”) has the best products to stock our freezer, pantry and refrigerator. TJ’s has great pre-made meals ranging from dumplings to pizza to chicken piccata and everything in between. As we go down every aisle, we always try to fit as many things possible into our cart since new items pop up every trip. Below is a list of items that we consistently get and LOVE. We definitely recommend you try some of these items the next time you go.

1. Everything But the Bagel Seasoning

This is a TJ’s cult classic. The seasoning is perfectly blended, and you can use it on eggs, avocado toast, smoked salmon and more. It runs out fast, so make sure to stock up!

2. Dumplings

We would argue that TJ’s dumplings are as good as any authentic Asian restaurant—maybe even better. There are over 12 dumplings in each package, and the best part is that one pack is only $3.

3. Mediterranean Style Hummus

TJ’s has a great selection of hummus flavors. We are particularly fans of this Mediterranean style option

4. Cauliflower Crust Pizza

Not as good as Dominos, but we’ve heard it has the best flavor and the tastiest crust.

5. Mandarin Orange Chicken

By far the best TJ’s item. It is always on the top of TJ’s award-winning items and tastes great with their cauliflower rice or organic brown rice. Whenever we go to TJ’s, they are constantly restocking this item, as people will sometimes buy five at a time!

6. Kombucha and Ginger Shots

Kombucha is a fermented beverage that helps digestion and gut health. Their ginger shots and Kombucha drinks are cheaper here than at traditional grocery stores, and they taste amazing.

7. Ezekiel Bread

Ezekiel bread is arguably the best go-to bread for avocado toast. It is the healthiest type of bread because it is made from a variety of whole grains and full of nutrients and fiber.

8. Turkey Burgers

The. Best. Turkey. Burgers. So healthy, and they taste amazing. A true go-to meal for dinner.

9. Corn, Pea, Bean & Quinoa Crips

A great healthy alternative for Popcorners, these chips are super tasty and pair great with guacamole.

10. Cinnamon Bun Spread

These are one of TJ’s new fall items, so we had to give it a try! We bet it will taste great with vanilla ice cream.

11. Fruit

TJ’s has a fantastic and fresh selection of fruits and vegetables for great prices. I usually buy frozen fruit for smoothies and fresh blueberries, strawberries, bananas, grapes and cantaloupe to eat with yogurt or as a snack.

12. Organic Eggs

The cheapest organic free-range eggs ever!
