Should I Throw Out My Skinny Jeans?

Nearing the fall season, transitional denim pieces are a must-have closet staple. The classic skinny and ripped boyfriend jeans are always an easy fix, but there are so many trends that are popping up for this coming season. From flared to straight leg, these styles offer a more relaxed fit, a great way to diversify your wardrobe and elevate your look, rather than opting for a traditional skinny or boyfriend style.

Gravitating more toward light colors, as ivory is becoming more popular this season, might be your move for the season. Revolve and Zara have also been releasing more baggy, wide-leg options. Denim jumpsuits are also a fun alternative, an edgier twist to a classic jean. Sometimes the baggy look can be a bit overwhelming, especially if you are on the shorter side, so a flared jean is a perfect combination, fitted with a loose or split-hem bottom.

There have been photos of celebrities such as Victoria Beckham, Hailey Bieber and Bella Hadid sporting these new trends—all wearing loose, ripped styles. Is baggy denim becoming the new gray jogger? If you are looking for some inspo or to add another pair of jeans (or two) to your closet this season, here are some of our picks.

Split-Hem Flare

This style has been everywhere lately, a new detail to the classic flare jean. Styled with sneakers or even heels, this trend is already very popular for the fall season.

Straight-Leg

This style has been creeping up in popularity, spiking this season. PISTOLA created the perfect fit of this style jean: a high waistline with a leg that’s not too tight around the thigh. The Zara pair is a more affordable option, very similar to a classic relaxed and casual boyfriend style.
