4 Ways to Style Doc Martens This Fall

If you don’t own a pair of Doc Martens yet, this article will send you online shopping for sure. Docs are a staple every fall, as they’re so versatile and can be worn with almost any outfit. They can turn any summery outfit into a fall one and are super comfortable. Here we’ll focus on the classic black Doc, but they are sold in tons of different colors and styles that anyone can personalize. I enlisted some of my friends to show me their favorite ways to wear Docs.

For these outfits, we wore the Black Smooth Leather Lace-up Boots and the Leona Smooth Leather Heeled Boot

Chunky Sweater

For a classic, cozy fall look pair your Docs with a chunky sweater and your favorite blue jeans. Chunky sweaters can be hard when you don’t feel like wearing booties but still want to look put together. Docs are a nice alternative and can kind of make you feel like a badass in your cozy fall sweater.

Grunge

Another look for a cold day is a grunge band tee paired over a turtleneck paired with jeans. This look keeps you edgy and warm! Bonus points for throwing on a vintage bucket hat!

Summer to Fall

North Carolina hasn’t completely cooled down yet, so we’re still wearing our summer shorts and tanks but trying to work them more into the September vibe. The blazer and Docs truly complete this transitional outfit.

Dress it Up

Another great way to style docs is with a dress. We love pairing flowery, babydoll dresses with Docs, but dresses or skirts of any kind can really complement classic black Docs. Layering a long sleeve under a dress is a great alternative for a jacket to keep you warm in transitional months!
