You Need These In-Flight Beauty Products ASAP

As a notorious overpacker, I always want to bring 100 of my favorite skincare and makeup products, but unfortunately it is just not practical for any trip. While travelling, I try to stick to the necessities, preferably in mini travel sizes. Here are my in-flight essentials for when we can jet-set once again.

Starting with a clean canvas, it is a must to make sure you are makeup-free, avoiding skin irritation or clogged pores during the flight. Carrying mini makeup wipes makes this such an easy process.

The next essential is lip balm. I never leave the house without a few of my favorites, but for travel, the Tatcha Kissu Lip Mask  is hydrating and gives your lips a healthy glow. If you tend to like lip balm with more of an applicator, I also recommend a lip oil for long-lasting hydration.

Hair ties are something I have hidden in every bag I own, but for travelling especially, I tend to gravitate more towards silk scrunchies and a headband. I hate when my hair creases after wearing it in a ponytail or bun, and I’ve found that silk leaves my hair crease-free. They are perfect for long flights when you want your hair off of your face, but still want to look good when arriving at your destination. The headband is also very gentle, and avoids stretching and tugging, which is important because facial skin is so sensitive.

If you are in the mood to pamper yourself, a travel sized face mask or sheet mask is a fun in-flight treatment, especially one that is moisturizing, as the plane tends to dry out your skin.  Speaking of dryness, I recently tried the travel size version of the Drunk Elephant Facial Oil. I used it on my hands rather than my face to try it out, and it was such a gentle and hydrating product.

While we may not be able to travel how we want to right now, shopping for travel essentials gives you a taste of the in-flight life and gets you excited for the plane days to come. Once it’s safe to travel again, let us know your in-flight must haves by tagging @theedgemag on Instagram!
