The Amsterdam Foodie Guide

If you’re looking for brunch…

The Breakfast Club

Nothing can cure your hangover better than The Breakfast Club’s California Eggs. Unlike other egg Benedicts, the english muffin is fluffy like a pancake and the egg yolk breaks and blends into the homemade hollandaise sauce. They serve breakfast all day so you have no excuse to not make a stop here!

If you’re looking for Italian…

Ceppi’s Trattoria

This restaurant’s menu is a piece of art…. metaphorically and literally. The cover is beautifully designed by graphic designer MADEBYSEM who is based out of Amsterdam. Other than that, Ceppi’s Trattoria is Italian, Italian, Italian.  The finest wine and liquors are from the Amalfi Coast and the pasta dishes are easily comparable to those you would find in Rome. We are dying to try the beetroot Burrata and Cacio e Pepe truffle.

If you're looking for seafood…

Brut de Mer

If seafood isn’t your thing, stay away from this restaurant. The only items you’ll find on the menu from land is a house salad and a cup of fries. But if you’re a seafood fanatic, this is your heaven! They have a daily fresh selection of oysters that pair perfectly with any and all of their small dishes. While their menu seems exclusively elegant, you can always resort to a mayo-filled, warm lobster roll.

If you're looking for sandwiches…

Toastable

There’s so much to do and see in Amsterdam that sometimes you just need to grab something quick to eat! Toastable is the perfect place for when you are in that situation (you can also order online to speed it up even more!). Don’t be fooled though, these are not fast food quality sandwiches! These sandwiches explode with melting cheese and special sauces. We are dying to try the ultimate classic, what toppings are you going to add to it?

If you're looking for plant-based…

Meatless District

The Meatless District is our favorite option for vegetarian and vegan food. It is closed Monday-Wednesday so be sure to plan this to be apart of your weekend! These healthy dishes will balance out the loads of beer you indulged in at The Heineken tour ;). The chef curates a small menu with delicious seasonal ingredients.
