Miami’s in Vogue Restaurants

Miami has the reputation of being wildly exciting, thanks to its 24-hour buzz, gorgeous beaches, and glamorous urban landscape. But, when you’re not sprawled out on the beach, the Miami restaurant scene is worth exploring. With countless fun dining options, many restaurants embrace the city's rich Latin American culture, while Italian, pan-Asian, new American and fusion styles all have a place among the most upscale restaurants in The Magic City.

In an ever-evolving culinary landscape with so much going for it, The Edge has compiled a list of five restaurants that will check all of the boxes. The ambiance, the food, the drinks, the service are top-notch and are totally Instagram-worthy #phoneeatsfirst. Locals and visitors seeking a superb meal with a great atmosphere should book a table at one of these hot spots ASAP.

Swan

Located in the heart of Miami’s Design District, Swan is an indoor/outdoor dining destination created by hospitality mavens David Grutman and Pharrell Williams. Swan’s completely new menu is centered around seasonal and market-driven ingredients, that bring bold flavors to the forefront of the guests’ dining experience. This menu features refined rustic cuisine and dynamic communal plates, offering something for everyone. Plus, their signature cocktail “The Swan” will set the standards quite high for drinks in the 305.

Komodo

Located in the epicenter of Miami’s booming Brickell neighborhood, Komodo is a three-story indoor/outdoor eatery and lounge that combines contemporary Southeast Asian cuisine with a South Florida twist to elevate the dining and nightlife experience. The menu features signature favorites including the Peking Duck, Tuna & Toro Roll, and Lobster Dynamite. With several unique dining options, including the signature outdoor floating “birds nests” seating, Komodo is perfect for any occasion day or night to feast in an urban jungle.

Lagniappe House

Want to step into an old New Orleans parlor from the jazz age? Located in Midtown, Lagniappe is a lively, low-key wine bar with an array of 150-plus wines and beers. The cozy, homey interior and expansive light-strung outside courtyard provide a great place to hang with friends or go solo and make some. But that’s not the best part– guests handpick from an assortment of cheeses and charcuterie that then get turned into delicious boards. Who doesn’t want to sway to live music and laugh with friends all over a charcuterie board that is to die for? Lagniappe is the ultimate jazz lover's dream.

Kiki on The River

Embracing the hospitality and spirit of the Greek islands, Kiki on The River is heralded for its meticulously-scuffed elegance that only a waterfront garden can provide. Created by Chef Steve Rhee, the menu takes inspiration from the Mediterranean coast (spreads, salads, seafood, meats and more) and serves it in a boho-chic, waterfront space with white washed walls, vintage lounge chairs, floor-to-ceiling glass windows and a lush tropical terrace. However no trip to Miami would be complete without a party. Starting on Friday nights, Kiki on The River turns into a Mykonos club, with a live DJ and a party atmosphere featuring a festive soundtrack, twirling napkins, and dancing that will make you say “opa!”

Next time you find yourself in the ever vivacious south of Florida, make sure these places earn a night in your itinerary. And don’t forget to tag @theedgemag to share your adventures!
