5 Must-Try Nail Trends

Amid the pandemic with our faces covered by masks, we are left to express ourselves through the use of clothing and now, nail art. Hop onto Pinterest or VSCO and you will surely see what I am talking about. Long manicured nails with chic intricate designs are everything this season and these are five fun design ideas you can try out this Spring.

1. “Zig-Zag” Nails

Fashion icon Hannah Bucknam (Instagram @hannahbucknam) experiments a lot with bright colors and bold patterns. Her nails are no exception. This style features a sheer nail with tips that are painted with mix-matched colors in a zig-zag pattern adding dimension and length to the nail.

2. Multi-Colored Nails

The sophisticated older sister to the glitter ring finger. Multi-colored nails are a fun way to play with a new color palette and are a simple, yet impactful upgrade from the classic gel manicure. Celebrity, Emma Chamberlain, debuted multi-colored nails on her Instagram earlier this month.

3. Yin-Yang Nails

Seeking symmetry and balance in your life? Yin-Yang nails are your calling. This simple yet funky design can be done with any color but is most commonly seen online with sage green and white or two shades of pink. These nails will surely send zen your way.

4. Smiley Face Nails

Say cheese! Originating as the global symbol of happiness the icon has increased in popularity as it is the face of Drew House (a streetwear brand) and it has now made its way into the world of nails. A sheer gel nail, with three to four tiny smiley faces per nail, is the latest way to strike a covid-safe smile.

5. Nesting Heart Nails

Not for the faint of heart. These nails take time and a skilled nail technician. Inspired by the Wildflower phone case, this nail design showcases three shades of brown hearts nested within one another in a kaleidoscope pattern.
