Spring and Summer Essentials You Can't Live Without

The weather and these trends are starting to heat up! Colorful clothing is taking the fashion industry by storm right now, and our weather forecast says the rain is here to stay. We’re also expecting more elegant fits, since we are ALL ready to get out of the house and enjoy some warm weather (once we’re fully vaccinated)! Here are some pieces you should definitely keep in mind while shopping for your spring and summer wardrobe.

Knit Dresses

These dresses will make you hot during the summer in 2 ways, but we are willing to make an exception to sweat (a little bit) for this trend. The House of Sunny dress that started this fad has exploded into different styles and lengths for everyone to love. Even Anya Taylor-Joy has partaken in this trend in her recent Vanity Fair article, and we are loving every second of it. These dresses will be amazing for all of your brunch, picnic, and (safe) vacation needs for the upcoming months!

Midi Skirts

We have been WAITING on some warm weather just for an excuse to wear these amazingly adorable midi skirts. Skirts are an amazing way to elevate any outfit, and the longer design of these are perfect if you’re going for a more modest look. Furthermore, they’re great to simply give off the illusion that you have your sh*t together. AND the perfect compromise for those days when it’s cold in the morning and hot in the afternoon?? What more could you want?!

Kitten Heels

Kitten heels have been a budding trend for the past few months or so, and now that it’s officially spring, these timeless heels are EVERYWHERE. As they should! Kitten heels are so easy, and much more comfortable than a chunky platform or any heel taller than 2 inches. Their versatility will be a lifesaver this season, and the colorful options ensure that you CAN buy a pair for any and every outfit.

Oversized Button-Downs

We’ve been loving the grandpa look for the fall and winter, now it’s dad’s time to shine. These button downs are like the warm weather version of flannels and they are just as easy to style. Whether you wear it as a cover-up on a day at the beach or a layer to add over a cute crop top, you can’t go wrong. They are light and airy, perfect for this time of year.

Long Jean or Sweat Shorts

I think most of us are sick and tired of the uncomfortable, tiny jean shorts—that’s where these beautiful pieces come into play! These shorts started showing up some last summer, but they didn’t get their full time to shine. We are expecting these two types of shorts to be in the starting lineup in our closets soon, you might even catch us rocking some Edge sweat short merch???? ;)
