Goodbye KVD and hello to L’Oreal

We love a quick and easy makeup routine here at the Edge, and this product just made our lives a lot easier. If you have opened Tik Tok in the past few weeks it’s likely you have seen a post about the KVD Beauty Good Apple Skin-Perfecting Foundation Balm. Although we’ve heard amazing reviews on the product it comes with a pretty large price tag of $38. This isn’t terrible for a foundation, but for those who don’t really wear makeup, it can kind of be intimidating. After some research, we found the best dupe that will leave your skin looking flawless. It’s the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Up to 24H Fresh Wear Foundation in a Powder. This stuff really works wonders and leaves your skin with a natural and dewy glow. 

Typically, under-eye bags are all we are concerned with concealing, but that mid-semester stress has us breaking out EVERYWHERE. Also, the infamous mask isn’t helping much either! We wanted to find a product that would allow me to have some coverage, but avoid clogging pores. 

Here's our experience with the product 

Before: my under eyes look pretty dark, have a few pimples here and there, but not too bad 

After one coat: Okay not gonna lie this had us a little scared.  Not sure if know if it was giving us  PTSD from our competitive dance days that were filled with full faces of makeup or what. After a few minutes of reflection, it started to grow on us. The skin looks natural, but you can still see some freckles and blemishes, which honestly we wanted! After some blending and bronzer: 

After blending and bronzer: Okay hello!!! This is where we came to the realization that this product was it! All it took was a little extra blending with a beauty blender and the holy grail product, Tarte Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer. Doesn’t look cakey and also doesn’t look fake! 

Overall we would say this product isn’t necessary for everyday use but is great to have at hand. For nights out or when you are feeling like bringing your look to the next level, this product has got your back. It is way less of a hassle than using tons of different concealers and foundations and honestly looks better. 

Oh, and it’s also less than half the price of the KVD one at only $12!
