4LuvNLocals - Custom Trucker Hats You NEED This Summer

Trucker hats are going to be one of the hottest trends this summer. Bella Feldmann, a junior at Elon University, took note of this and decided to create something of it. She created her custom trucker hat business, 4LuvNLocals. As a Jersey Shore local, she has major experience when it comes to knowing what a popular and fashionable beach accessory is.

Back in March, Bella noticed how well companies like MadHappy and Aviator Nation did with their hats, so she thought it would be fun to try it out and make them herself. When she was ordering the materials, she asked some of her friends if they would want her to make them some as well. She thought she might as well make the most of an order, but what started as a nice gesture, sparked into a huge hit. Bella told The Edge that she never planned on making the hats for anyone outside of her circle of friends, but after her friends raved about them, they urged her to advertise them on Instagram and make them for others.  

Once Bella knew this was something she wanted to pursue, she teamed up with her hometown friend, Emma McMenaman. Emma is studying entrepreneurship and marketing at the University of Vermont, so she adds a huge creative outlook to the business. She is a very talented artist in both drawing and painting, but specializes in graphic design. Emma is looking forward to this summer where she’ll expand her artistic abilities and work on original 4LuvNLocals designs.

Here at Elon, 4LuvNLocals is currently selling colorful trucker hats via Instagram. Their Instagram profile is home to a plethora of vibrant colored hats along with various designs and logos such as smiley faces, butterflies, stars, flowers, and hearts. They have been selling quickly to Elon students all around campus at 20 to 25 dollars each depending on designs. 4LuvNLocals has had an extremely successful start, but they are looking forward to their future plans of even more content. I love my royal blue smiley face 4LuvNLocals hat and I’m definitely thinking about getting another one because you can never have too many hats - right?!

Bella told The Edge that she is eager to sell more vintage designs since she was always inspired by her grandfather’s collection of trucker hats. She told us that she loves seeing photos of him back in the day wearing hats with 70s, 80s and 90s car logos, beer brands, sports teams, and other retro designs whenever he was fishing, at the beach, or just hanging around his hometown of Lavalette NJ. Adding more vintage inspired designs is not only a fashion statement, but it will carry on tradition and prove that fashion does come back throughout different generations. In addition to the vintage collection, 4LuvNLocals is also working on special orders for peoples birthday/themed parties, group events and occasions, or any other special requests. 

Summer 2021 is going to be a busy one for 4LuvNLocals as their current and future custom trucker hats will be the must-have beach accessory. Emma and Bella are prepared and excited to continue the growing business in the upcoming months and get as many orders as possible. 4LuvNLocals is the business that keeps on getting better and better!
