Fall Festivities In North Carolina

Fall is officially upon us and with the brisk air and changing leaves, we at the Edge are getting into the fall spirit. Here are some fun activities near Elon or in North Carolina to help you explore what this beautiful season has to offer.

The Original Hollywood Horror Show - Snow Camp NC

The Original Hollywood Horror Show is located in Snow Camp NC and is just 20 miles away from Elon’s campus. The event is an indoor haunted attraction. The entry fee is $30 per person and the attraction runs till November 5th. 

Leaves Changing

Head to Western North Carolina to see the beautiful mountains while the leaves are in their prime changing colors. Boone is just two hours and 15 minutes away and Asheville is three hours away. Check out the Blue Ridge Parkway to get the best scenic views!

Hawfields Civitans Haunted Forest

Hawfields Civitans Haunted Forest is located just 15 miles away from Elon’s campus in Mebane North Carolina. The Haunted Forest begins October 14th and runs till October 31st. Tickets are $12. 

Sophia’s Pumpkin Patch

Sophia’s Pumpkin Patch is located just outside of Elon’s campus in Burlington. The pumpkin patch features varieties of pumpkins, squash, and more. Everything is locally grown by Fogleman Farms of Liberty. Check out their Facebook page for more information!

North Carolina State Fair in Raleigh

Just an hour away in Raleigh, the state fair will begin on October 13th and end on October 23rd. The attraction is said to have brought in around a million visitors just in the short time they are open. Tickets are $13 at the gate.
