The Wonders of We Wore What

The phrase ' Girl Boss' is often used too frequently while never truly earned. Danielle Bernstein, the creator of We Wore What, has earned this title in all of its 2014 glory.

As a native New Yorker, Benstein was immediately drawn to fashion, so much so that she created a blog. Since then, WeWoreWhat.com has been a global phenomenon, inspiring women worldwide with new outfits, wild ideas and a strong female figure to look up to. While looking through Danielle’s blog posts, we realized the many similarities between us at the Edge and Danielle's work, specifically within the fashion community. All of us writers at the Edge can only hope that one day we become the next Danielle Bernstein, and until then, we will continue to work hard until we become just like her.

Now, let’s take a look at our favorites currently stocked up in the WeWoreWhat Shop.

The Stretch Lace Mock Neck Top is “tights for your arms.” When you want to add more detail to your outfit, throw on a pair of tights. This top can be used in the same way. It gives any outfit the sprinkle of flavor that it needs. The top can also be worn alone, without a shirt over it. Wear the top with a nice bra underneath, or no bra at all—the choice is yours! This alluring mock neck is an elevated piece and comes in sizes ranging from XXS to XL. The $78 price is also nice for a delicately crafted lace top.

The Denim Indigo Comfort Mini Dress, coming in at $148, combines city girl and cowgirl. Usually, I am not a fan of high necklines, but here we have to make an exception. This stems from the fact that the dress is mini, which makes up for the modest neck. With that being said, the dress is a perfect balance of classy and sultry.  Like the other sizes on this site, this dress ranges from XXS to XL, and is in a dark denim material.

Sweater weather has arrived, and WeWoreWhat is on top of the game. Recently, they had their sweater drop for this upcoming season (which felt like the Hunger Games of fashion). Although most of the sweaters are sold out already, our favorite is the Oversized Chunky Cardigan Sweater. Any clothing item with the words “Oversized” and “Chunky” will persuade us to buy it, which is the same story for this sweater. This $98 cardigan comes in a few colors, one being “Storm” (a blue tone), and is an essential from Fall to Spring. It can be thrown over a dress, t-shirt, pajamas, or literally anything. Again, the sizes range from XXS to XL for this product. Buy it, or one of us at the Edge will. ;)

Words cannot describe how we feel about the Tiered Satin Charmeuse Ruffle High Low Dress. One thing that can help you all to know how much we love this dress at the Edge is the simple fact that almost all of us have added it to our “Future Wedding” Pinterest boards. The ruffles, the satin fabric, the high-to-low cut are all you could want in a dress, and now you have it. We specifically love how the model in the photo paired the dress with cowboy boots. If you want to go the fancier route, heels or sandals can be worn. The dress comes at a great price of $149 and is sized from 00 to 14. Thank you, Danielle, for providing us with a future post-wedding outfit; you saved us a lot of stress!
