YouTube Channels That Will Fuel Your Wanderlust

During a time when many of us are still waiting and itching to travel internationally, living vicariously through others’ travels is our only option. That is when YouTube comes in! The platform has a myriad of travel channels in which creators share their worldly adventures in their own unique ways. Watching these videos will not only transport you to destinations you never thought of going to but will also get you planning all of your future trips.

Kara and Nate

This couple took a leave of absence from their jobs to travel for one year and document their travels on YouTube. After one year, they couldn’t get enough of the world, so their new goal turned into traveling to 100 countries. In early 2020, they hit that goal and traveled to their seventh continent of Antarctica. Now, the adventurous duo makes their way around the U.S. in their converted sprinter van, attempting to visit all 50 states. On this channel, you will follow along on their van-life adventures, see international travel content here and there, and laugh a lot.

The Bucket List Family

What’s more inspiring than a family of five traveling around the world as travel journalists? In 2015, the Gee Family sold all their things, left for an adventure around the globe, and started a YouTube channel to document it. With over one million subscribers today, this popular family has inspired wanderlust in people everywhere from kids to adults with their travels to bucket list-worthy destinations. On this channel, you will see brave, young kids swim with sharks, ride on safaris, and jump in a lot of pools.

If following along on a couple’s or family’s travels is not your thing, then this solo traveling channel might be more your speed. Allison Anderson has been on YouTube long before she started traveling; she used to focus on beauty and lifestyle content. After realizing that she no longer wanted to wait for people in her life to find the time to travel with her, she finally decided to solo travel in 2018. Her channel has since become full of cinematic travel diaries, helpful tips videos, and travel photography guides.
