Your Guide to Summer Packing
Tired of cramming for finals and staying in your dorm? Don’t worry; you’re almost done, and you can focus on the best season of the year… Summer!
Looking forward to your summer plans can be the best motivation for getting your work done. So here are some of our favorite tips and tricks to packing light for your summer vacation!
Pack Neutrals
You want to pack items that you can reuse throughout the trip. You do not want to pack all statement pieces because you will have no space left in your suitcase. Pack neutral clothes that you can create multiple outfits with to keep your suitcase light.
Wear dresses
Dresses are a great way to save space and time by not thinking too hard about what to wear! They go great with any beachy, warm setting and make you look put together without even trying. Then, match them with a comfortable neutral sandal to fully achieve the vacation look.
Bring layers
Pack a few cardigans to wear over any outfit you have. Since they are lightweight, they would be easy to bring on any tours or excursions. Even though summer is all about warm weather, we know it can get chilly on the beach at night. So it can’t hurt to be prepared!
Comfortable, Neutral Shoes
The key to avoiding overpacking is to pack things you can wear. Having a few pairs of shoes that you can wear with any outfit will help you accomplish this. Pack one pair of heels, sneakers, and sandals to leave room for other clothes. Although shoes can make a big difference with certain outfits, try to choose ones that can work with any outfit.
Plan your activities ahead of time
You need to know what to pack for! Choosing what you will most likely do on your trip will help you out. For example, you do not want to bring fancy dresses for a cabin by a lake. Instead, plan accordingly; bring bathing suits and sandals with a cute cover-up option for a cruise or shorts and cute tops to go to Disney World. Whatever type of vacation you take, plan!
Hopefully, these tips can help you destress and focus on something more fun than finals. It is never too early to plan your vacation. So go! Plan the best summer vacation yet; you deserve it!
