Alohas — Style and Sustainability for All

Have you ever considered doing things to help others? Volunteer work? Tutoring your brother or sister? Maybe just taking out the trash? You may not know it, but another way we can help is through online shopping. Our world is changing, and so are the websites we shop from. Companies are creating environmentally friendly ways of doing the things we love. We at the Edge believe in retail therapy, especially when our money goes towards the greater good. With that being said, we love the brand Alohas.

When Alohas first popped up on my Instagram feed, I scrolled past the advertisement. When it appeared for the second time, I thought, "Okay, fine, let's see what they have to offer." And I am so glad that I did.

Alohas is truly reinventing online shopping. The brand is eco-friendly and offers a variety of vegan shoe choices, as well as something called "On Demand Fashion." Confused? I was, too, so I'll explain. This means overproduction will not be an issue because Alohas only makes what the shoppers pre-order. Companies that overproduce materials contribute to things like microplastic pollution. However, when buying from Alohas, a new pair of shoes will be a gift to you and our environment.

I bought my first pair of Alohas last May while shopping for a staple summer sandal. I can confidently say that the Harper Black Leather Sandals have changed my life. My shoes were the talk of the summer. I could dress them down when going to the beach or dress them up for dinner. At the Edge, we can all agree that having a versatile shoe is life-changing and makes our day-to-day life more manageable.

Let's step away from sandals for a second, though, because our favorite season is rolling in…fall! It's almost here, so it's time for me to look for a delicious fall shoe. Having said that, I don't have to look far because Alohas has got me covered once again. I already have many favorites, like the Trailblazer in the color “Corn Black” and the Cozy Black Suede Mules. The one pair I have set away some special cash for is, of course, a pair of boots.

The East Wine Burgundy Boots, made with sustainably sourced leather, are a must for your fall shopping cart. Red leather is a vital staple for any closet, and I encourage each of you to purchase it in some way, shape, or form. I, in fact, also have a faux red leather jacket on the way as we speak. I'm planning the outfit now: my red coat and a black mini dress all tied together with my Alohas boots. They're truly the cherry on top of my dream outfit sundae.

And with that, I'll let you all go on with your day, but not without urging you to type "Alohas" into your browser and pre-order a pair of whatever shoe suits your fancy. But if my red leather boots are limited stock, hands off! ;)
