The 2024 Emmys Outfits are Red Hot!
Bright reds are trending this fall. See how your favorite actresses are styling it from the 76th annual Emmys Award show!
Two weeks ago, ABC Network hosted the 76th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, an event that serves as a pop culture powerhouse, recognizing and rewarding the best TV programs from the past year, and attended by our favorite, best-dressed celebrities. Like any other award show, the Emmys featured a red carpet event prior to the awards ceremony, where celebrity guests made their grand appearances and showcased their trend-setting looks.
The Emmys take place during a crucial time in the fashion world when color palettes begin to favor rich jewel-tone hues as the season transitions into autumn. This year, actors and actresses stepped out in vibrant, bright red looks, a color that is growing in popularity and may even surpass the tried-and-true muted maroons this fall season. Let’s take a look at some of the most iconic bright red outfits from the evening.
Nava Mau
Baby Reindeer actress Nava Mau strutted in a stunning, custom-made hot red dress designed by former RuPaul's Drag Race star Gigi Goode. This dress was unlike any other on the carpet. Its three-dimensional neckline, shiny material and front slit made it one of the most memorable looks of the night. Paired with rhinestone platform heels and chunky jewelry, the entire red carpet outfit came together beautifully.
Janelle James
Abbott Elementary actress rocked a one-shoulder gown designed by Marchesa. This dress elevates the classic ball gown silhouette with gathered fabric at the shoulder and hip. The fabric adds depth and complexity to her look, almost resembling small floral bouquets. A front slit prevents the dress from overwhelming her figure, while simple black strappy heels and dainty rings keep the gown as the focal point of her ensemble.
Anna Sawai
Shōgun star Anna Sawai shows off her stunning fiery red look in a layered mermaid silhouette dress with a classic strapless sweetheart neckline. Sawai is wearing a custom-made Vera Wang gown to this year's red carpet. She is one of the few to wear the timeless strapless neckline, styling it with simple dangle earrings.
Gillian Jacobs
The Bear actress Gillian Jacobs took a more structured route with her Emmys look, featuring a tailored strapless corset top with three buttons as the focal point of her outfit. This dress, designed by Roland Mouret, hugs her waist and accentuates her figure. Her look is completed with simple jewelry, strappy nude heels and matching red-painted nails.
Sofia Vergara
Vergara’s most recent project is starring in Griselda. Her strapless look is elevated by geometric textures around the waistline. This custom-made dress, designed by Dolce & Gabbana, is paired with chunky rings and neutral nails.
We hope you enjoyed these looks just as much as we did and we can’t wait to see which fall trends our favorite celebrities are participating in this year!
