How to Curate the Perfect Sunday Reset Routine
Sunday is the perfect day to reset, recharge and start the week off with a win. A well planned routine can help you feel more organized and refreshed. Here at the Edge we love creating a calm, tidy space for ourselves. Here is a step-by-step guide to crafting the perfect Sunday routine.
1. Reflect on the week
Before you jump into a new week, start by reflecting on the past week. Journaling is one of the best ways to do so. In your journal, try to write down three good things that happen each day. This ensures that you find a piece of joy in each day, even if it did not go as planned. Before you take out your journal, make your favorite beverage! Whether that's a coffee, matcha, juice, or water, having something to sip on while you reflect can enhance the experience.
2. Plan and Prioritize
Open up your calendar! Look to see what’s going on in your life that week, whether that be assignments, events, appointments, or even dinner with friends. If you have many assignments due for the week, make a priority list, ordering it by marking the longer assignments first or what is due first. Create a list of goals for the week, small or large. This gives you something to accomplish every week. A good starter goal is making your bed every morning! Another list you can make during your planning session is a grocery list. Make your weekday cooking easier by planning ahead on what meals will look like for the week.
3. A Clean Space Creates a Clean Mind
The best part of the sunday reset is freshening up your living space! We at the Edge love to declutter our space because your room is your personal oasis. If taking on a big task seems too daunting, start by picking three things up. Continue picking three things until your space looks brand new. Sunday is the best day for laundry! Grab your laundry and your favorite detergent to start the week smelling fresh and looking better than ever.
4. Self Care and Setting the Tone
Hitting the reset button for the week starts with you! An everything shower is the perfect sunday activity. Use your favorite skincare products after or even treat yourself to a face mask or a hair mask. Include mindful movement for the day to ease into the new week. Making time for an intentional workout whether it is an outdoor walk, a workout class, or going to the gym this movement will strengthen your body for the week to come. To set the tone for the week and make the transition to Monday easier, lay out a pj set and wind down for an early night's rest.
By taking Sunday to reset, you won’t find yourself scrambling on Monday with tasks piling up. This routine isn’t about perfection it is about finding what works for you. What’s your Sunday routine? Let us know @theedgemag !
