Cozy & Creative: Fun Ideas for the Perfect Night In!

We’ve all been there — the scaries are starting to hit and the thought of going out another night in a row seems daunting. We at The Edge, we completely understand and believe you should budget your time wisely (even if that means skipping the line at Paulies).

We’ve curated some fun activities you can do solo or with friends, to have the perfect night in!

Collaging

Whether it's for a future vision board or simply for the vibe, collaging is a great way to kick back and tap into your creative side. Pull up your Pinterest boards, find an aesthetic you gravitate towards and start arranging the images however you please! With all of our daily responsibilities as college students, we sometimes forget the joy of being crafty. Collaging is a great activity for staying in with friends and for self expression.

Letters to your future self

Whether you’re an incoming freshman or a graduating senior, writing a letter to your future self is a great method of self reflection and analyzing individual growth. This activity can be completed solo or with friends, and it can be as near or distant into the future as you'd like. Some information to include about your current self in your letter is:

  • Your current age/grade

  • Goals and aspirations

  • Relationship status

  • Friendships

  • Struggles/feelings on a situation

  • Daily routine

These are just a few ideas of information to write in your letter to note how your life has changed since writing it.

PowerPoint Night

This activity requires a group, but is a creative way to share a laugh with your friends! Each person can contribute a slide to a PowerPoint, and the best part: you all can choose whatever theme you want! PowerPoint nights are a perfect way to reflect on memories with friends, or even learn something new about them! Here are a few unique examples to inspire your PowerPoint night!

  • Who would survive The Hunger Games and why?

  • What movie character represents each friend?

  • Rank everyone's red flags

  • What would each friend spend their money on as billionaires?

Movie/TV Show Night
On the more basic end, a good movie or TV show night never disappoints! Pick a movie you’ve been eager to watch, or a show you’ve been meaning to binge. Grab some popcorn or a sweet treat and enjoy the perfect night in! Here are just a few suggestions we at The Edge love!
