Tips To Stay Sane During Testing Season

With the high stresses of the semester halfway mark rolling in, the workload is piling up. No matter what kind of exam, it's a guarantee time of little sleep, a lot of stress, and an unhealthy amount of caffeine consumed. To stay a little more sane and healthy during this crazy time, we have come up with some tips to make sure you are your best self to get through midterms week or just a high stress week.

 

Eat Well:

This might seem like a no brainer, but if you eat better than you will feel. While those late night slices of pizza or stress munchies might seem like a good idea when you have a craving- it will hurt you in the long run. Junk food causes a huge sugar rush and then a crash. If you want to maintain your energy levels, eating right and trying to stay as healthy as possible.

 

Stretching:

Spending a long hours hunched over your laptop, trying to finish all of your projects and cramming for exams. Taking just five minutes to stretch and do a quick little stretching will make the world of difference. Changing your posture and taking just a few minutes of doing some deep breathing will be an instant stress reliever and energy booster. Taking just a few minutes to take care of your body physically is so important especially during such a crazy time like midterms.

 

Meditation:

While it may seem corny and a bit silly, taking just a few minutes to take some deep breaths and clearing your thoughts can make the day a bit more manageable.
