To Do

In case you haven’t already seen it on your Instagram feed a million times, Ponce City Market is one of Atlanta’s main attractions. Located in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood, the building is an old Sears department store—completely transformed. They maintain the old industrial vibe, but with an urban and trendy twist. The food hall on the main floor has restaurants with everything imaginable. You can find food from all over the world. The main attraction is up the freight elevator and to the rooftop. Mini golf, carnival games and a full restaurant and bar overlook an incredible view of the city. Ponce City Market is a must see in Atlanta, mostly for the ramen bar, but everything else is pretty cool too.

Connected to Ponce City Market and Piedmont Park is the Beltline. Similar to the Highline in New York, the Beltline is an old railroad track turned pedestrian walkway. You can take a walk and see murals for quality instagram shots, Piedmont Park—the site of Music Midtown in the fall—and cool trendy shops all along the way. The Beltline is the perfect way to see the city and get some exercise in.

Just a few block away from the Beltline is Fetch Park and Ice House. It’s a dog park and a restaurant, what more could you want? The super trendy vibe is complete with a vintage shipping container bar so you can sit back, relax and watch all the cute dogs run by. You don’t have to bring a dog either, so if you’re missing your pets this is the perfect spot to get your puppy fix in.

Down the street is the Painted Pin in Buckhead, a boutique bar and luxury bowling alley unlike any other. This place makes for a great dinner and entertainment spot all in one! They have all kinds of games and food perfect for anyone—just note they are 21+ at certain times.

To Eat

While you’re in the South, you have to indulge in the best meal there is: brunch! While the list of great brunch spots in Atlanta could go on forever, some of the best include Murphy’s Tavern, Lady Bird and The General Muir. Murphy’s Tavern has good classic southern brunch food that's sure to please. Ladybird, with a camp theme sure to send you back to memories of high school camp days, serves great food with an amazing outdoor space and a view of the Beltline. The General Muir has incredible Jewish deli food, a must for bagel and lox fans. No matter where you go for brunch in Atlanta, it’s probably going to be great food, you are in the south after all.

For lunch and dinner it’s all about where in the city you want to go. In Buckhead, Gypsy Kitchen has incredible Spanish-style tapas and mediterranean food. Inman Park has Bartaco, a local favorite with some of the best tacos in the city (plus they actually have several locations). One of our personal favorites in the city is Barcelona Wine Bar. They too have several locations and to die for tapas. Plus, they have a brunch menu on the weekends!
