Tips for Helping Your Body After A Long Night Out

We all have those mornings where we wake up dreading to go to class. Our bodies feel tired and the last thing on our mind is trying to figure out if we’ve finished our homework or how we’re going to make it out of bed on time. The worst feeling in the world is when you're body just isn’t having it with you and you feel like there’s nothing you can do to help fix it. We’ve gathered some tips and tricks to help revitalize your body after a long night out. It is important to stay healthy and take care of yourself!

1. WATER: Water is magical and fixes almost everyone’s problems no matter what it is. Have a headache? Drink water. Your stomach hurts? Drink water. Period cramps? Drink water. Feeling tired? Drink water. Keeping your body hydrated has so many short  and long term benefits. You’ll notice a change in your skin, hair growth, energy and just overall healthy feeling in your body.

2. ADVIL: Advil or any painkillers that aren’t Tylenol will help subside any headaches or pains you might have. Even taking Advil before you go to bed will help prevent a headache for the next morning so it might be a good idea if you know you're going to be out late to set Advil aside next to your bed so you don’t forget. You’ll love yourself in the morning if you do so.

3. EAT: Sometimes when you don’t feel well the last thing you want to do is eat, but I think it’s important with any type of stomach ache you have to settle it with some carbs. Even something as small as a piece of toast can help.

4. SHOWER: If you have time to hop in the shower before you have to head to class, this always helps wake me up. I feel clean and ready for my day. Putting yourself together when you don’t feel good always makes you feel better. Fake it till you make it!

5. CONSIDER STAYING IN: It’s fun to stay out late a few nights of the week but if you notice yourself feeling really crummy and tired every morning maybe consider having a movie night with friends and letting your body rest. It’s easier said than done, but it’s very important to take care of your body above all other things. If you constantly aren’t feeling well then making that a priority may be a good idea (I’m not your mom… I know).
