Anything-but-Average White Sneakers That Go Way Beyond Nike’s Air Force 1

The white sneaker. In the midst of back-to-school season, a white sneaker is a year-round staple. Not only is it a wardrobe essential, but it has also been a super hot item for the past few seasons. Tons of designers have introduced their take on the white tennis shoe, either with brand logos or simply classic, leather styles.

Tired of seeing herds of  girls all wearing the same white Nike Air Forces? Me too. With the overwhelming amount of white sneakers on the market, sometimes it is easier to just opt for the classic Air Force 1. However, to avoid turning into a mainstream VSCO girl, we gathered a list of seven sneakers that are great alternatives to the classic shoe.

White sneakers remain a closet essential because they can be styled so many different ways. Whether it’s with a mini or midi dress, a pair of denim shorts, boyfriend jeans or even a skirt, a white sneaker can make your outfit more casual while keeping it on-trend (especially with a platform or leather style).

Keeping in mind that everyone has a different style or aesthetic, the white sneaker is not as universal as it may seem. From platforms, to designer styles, to colorful details, you are not just purchasing any sneaker but rather a key piece to elevate any outfit. If you are on the market for this staple, a few places to start looking are Ash, Puma and, if you are looking for luxury, maybe even Golden Goose.

Not only are these Puma’s super comfortable, but the price point makes them even more appealing. This sneaker goes with anything and is a perfect low-end option.

High-End

Golden Goose White Pure Star leather sneaker $623.70

Golden Goose sneakers are definitely more expensive, but they come in a plethora of colors and styles, so the buyer can find a pair that genuinely suits them. This Pure Star option is more of a subdued pair, but is still fun with the pop of gold.

Alexander McQueen suede-trimmed leather exaggerated-sole sneaker $540

This style has been around for years and will probably stay for many more because of how great it is. Another expensive option, these Alexander McQueen sneakers are flattering and on-trend, a perfect high-end sneaker that doesn’t scream designer.

Platform

Ash Moon Platform Chunky Sneakers $197

My personal favorite, the Ash Moon platform sneaker is not only super comfortable but elongates your legs and looks amazing with any outfit. Paired with denim shorts, dresses, skirts, jeans, you name it—this sneaker works. It’s similar in design to the Alexander McQueen sneaker but at a fraction of the price. This leather platform is a must-have closet staple.

Pop of Color

Hypersleek Super Fiorucci Sneakers - $100

Also a personal favorite, this Adidas x Fiorucci collab is so unique and fun. Giving off Louboutin vibes with the red bottoms, this sneaker offers a twist on classic white.

Girly

Converse Leather Platform Chuck Taylor All Star $70

Another alternative, this newer style of the classic white Converse is a feminine take on the Chuck Taylor style. The minimalist nature of the shoe with the platform and leather material is a chic yet casual way to style an outfit.
