September Spotify Wrap Up

Music can make or break a moment. We all are able to associate moments, days or months with a specific song or playlist. With September being the first full month for most back at school, the transition from summer to the beginning of fall is bound to have moments worth encapsulating. Music is part of every moment, here are some of our favorite, most memorable, songs that were released this month. 

Wildest Dreams (Taylors version) 

Artist: Taylor Swift 

Release date: September 18, 2021 

We can't thank the Tik Tok trend enough– it brought about this beloved re-released hit, and no one even saw it coming. This new re-recorded version of a 1989 masterpiece was everything we needed to get us through the last few weeks of September. The upbeat anthem is something you can scream sing in the car with your friends, or preform in the shower, no matter how you enjoy it, Taylor really out did herself with this surprise release. 



That’s What I Want 

Artist: Lil Nax X 

Release date: September 17, 2021 

On new solo album “MONTERO”, the controversial yet talented artist gave us a pop-dance number about longing for someone to love. All of us here at The Edge can relate to this catchy tune, and as we head into the winter months, who wouldn't want someone to cuddle up to? Lil Nax gets it.

From the beloved artist that brought us classics like “A-Team”, “Perfect”, “Happier” and so many more, comes a new single from his highly anticipated upcoming album “=” dropping October 29, 2021. This song makes us all wanna get up and dance, it’s just the right song to ring out the month to. 



Fair Trade (with Travis Scott)

Artist: Drake

The infamous Drake dropped a new album this month feeding his fans some new classics. Fair Trade is a melodic and catchy single off the album. The song features Travis Scott who adds his flair to the song making it one not to miss off this album and this month. 



Breadwinner  

Artist: Kacey Musgrave 

Release date: September 10, 2021

Kacey’s new album is one you CAN NOT miss! Breadwinner is windows down, enjoying the last few bits of summer kind of tune that speaks to the issue of men using powerful women. Whether you’ve heard the song on tik tok in the past week or not it is one feel-good song you can’t miss. 


Though these next few songs were not released this month, their titles speak for themselves on why they fit right into the September playlist.
