Madhappy: The Optimistic Apparel

You’ve probably come across Madhappy’s trending sweatshirts on campus or on social media. The simple and bright designs have led this company to sell out their drops every time. What you may not know, though, is the mission behind Madhappy.

Madhappy was founded in 2018 in Downtown LA by Noah Raf, Peiman Raf, Joshua Sit and Mason Spector. Instead of just creating a trendy loungewear line, they were dedicated to sparking conversations on mental health through the design of sweatshirts, sweatpants and other lounge apparel.

In 2019, Madhappy launched The Local Optimist in efforts to build an online culture of optimism. TLO became a mental health outlet across many social media platforms to promote mental health awareness and provide advice on developing tools to tackle day-to-day challenges.

In 2021, Madhappy took it to the next level. The Madhappy Foundation was launched as a non-profit organization where a percentage of the proceeds from every sale went towards the future of mental health.

Here at The Edge, though we love fashion, we love wellness more. As college students, a multitude of challenges are thrown at us daily. We love Madhappy for not only keeping us comfy in class, but for advocating for our well-being.

If you’re interested in supporting the Madhappy Foundation and their efforts, get your own hoodie or set today! You’ll look good and feel good as a team player for mental health.

Stay well, and don’t forget to tag us repping your optimistic apparel!
