Summer Romance?

Summer has crept up on us and is practically right around the corner. With school coming to an end, we suddenly have a lot more free time. Even with internships or summer jobs, there is still plenty of time to fit in some fun activities! To help kickstart summer, here are 5 summer date ideas to change up date night, or just find new things to do. Feel free to do these with a significant other, or just with friends!

Drive in Movie

Who wants to sit in a frigid movie theater in the middle of the summer? Not me! Instead, hit the drive in, which is way more fun. While drive-in theaters aren’t super common, check around and there is probably one near you. Watch the stars and enjoy classic movie snacks. Be sure to bring blankets and pillows too.

Mini-Golf

While we are horrible at actual golf, mini golf on the other hand is a different story. For those competition seekers, this is the perfect game because it can be casual or competitive. A super easy way to get out of the house and spend some quality time together, while working on your swing. Never know when golf skills might come in handy.

Sunrise Kayak

Now waking up early enough for the sunrise might not seem appealing at first, but we promise it is always worth it. Just think that afterwards you have the whole day in front of you! You can easily rent kayaks and launch them if you're close to the water. Paddle out and enjoy incredible views.

Carnival or Theme Park

It seems like the carnival comes around every summer, and is always super fun! Reminisce on going as a little kid, eating that cotton candy or riding the roller coaster. Even just for the candy apples and popcorn, it's worth a trip. Go at night to experience the nights and you’re guaranteed a good time!

Go-Kart Racing

Such a fun activity! Another one to take us back to childhood, but this time it's way more fun. Bring your friends, rev those engines and get ready to race!

SUP Paddleboarding

Another date idea that’s super cool, but tough without water. If you're lucky enough to live near the ocean, be sure to try it out. Stand up paddle boarding is way harder than it looks, but with a little practice it has become one of our favorite summer activities!

We hope you try some of these out, because they are sure to enhance your summer break!
