Harry Styles: Style Evolution
Harry Styles isn’t afraid to make bold fashion statements. From his Hollister era in his One Direction days to his current collection with Gucci, he has certainly made a name for himself. Styles was just nominated for six Grammy awards this year for his third studio album, “Harry’s House,” and we at The Edge couldn’t be happier for him. Let’s look at some of his looks over the years.
2012: Era of T-shirts Paired with Blazers
This was a staple look for Styles in 2012 — the simple t-shirt with a blazer. It was definitely a moment for the time.
2013: The Infamous Frat Boy
We all know and love the “frat boy” era of Harry Styles. It was just too good! The button-down top paired with skinny jeans had all of us in a chokehold. We won’t forget to mention the tan Chelsea boots he wore with every outfit. This was also the introduction of his monarch stomach tattoo.
2015: Long-Haired Harry. That’s It.
This was the year we started to see Harry switch up his style, and we’re not complaining. Harry graced the American Music Awards red carpet wearing a black and white floral Gucci suit. The backlash was inevitable as many criticized his outfit. Not only did this not stop Harry from embracing his unique style, but it also foreshadowed what was to come!
2018: HSLOT
During the Live on Tour era, Harry graced the stage wearing a different vibrant suit each night. There are no words to describe the grip the custom-made Gucci suits had on us. Everything was tailored to perfection. This was the year we started to see Harry become more and more comfortable with himself, and we couldn’t be any happier. This vibrant purple and gold suit is to die for!
2022: Coachella
Styles wowed the audience with an all-pink outfit with a faux fur coat to escalate his presence. Harry opened up the show with a performance of “As It Was” and even brought out a surprise guest — Lizzo! The duo sang a cover of Gloria Gaynor’s smash hit “I Will Survive” and it was the cover heard all over the world. We still aren’t done talking about it!
